Our colleagues are constantly developing, learning and improving their professional skills! We learn by working all the time, and in the meanwhile, attend courses, learn from the experience of others, and go to industry events.
Kevuru Games visited the IT HR Forum
It’s the game cons that get the most attention in our field, but events with a focus on HR are very important. After all, humans are the spine that holds all the game development.
Recently, the HR and recruitment department of Kevuru Games visited the IT HR Forum – the largest professional conference in Eastern Europe for IT HR and recruiters. The event was rich in interesting topics and speakers, so our colleagues received a great boost in modern tools of sourcing, recruitment in the US and European markets, prioritization of positions and candidates and much more. And already put the knowledge into practice!

Role of HR in the It Industry
Games are made by developers, artists, animators, and designers. But who holds those teams together? HRs, of course. And there are many factors that make this work particularly challenging in this field.
First of all, most of the people who come into game development haven’t studied game dev science in the universities (it’s almost safe to say that no one had). HRs have to seek among people who have other degrees, background, and experience, and they have to know who is more likely to perform good in this field.
Second, it is the remote work that makes the work of HRs harder in some ways and easier in other ways. You never know what a person really thinks when the only contact you have is Slack. In the age of remote work, HRs need to be not just psychologists, but a bit of psychics..
All in all, HR will be the last department that gets replaced by AI (by the way, they are essential in building that human-AI collaboration in companies). We are proud of our colleagues who continue to grow professionally and thus build stronger team at Kevuru.
