Kevuru Games at Develop: Brighton UK

|

Develop: Brighton is the UK’s defining game developer conference — covering production, art, technology, and business. Kevuru Games attends as an outsourcing studio, connecting with UK and European game companies looking for reliable external development partners.

As CEO of Kevuru Games, I’m excited to share that at Develop Brighton UK 2025, our team presented our latest innovations in game art production, immersive animations, and advanced game development solutions. We examined how our prowess in game design improves player experiences and overall game performance. Our unique process and experience at Kevuru Games is a way to continuously develop games in new ways, and Develop Brighton is the perfect platform on which to present how our work and experiences are altering the industry.

What is Develop Brighton UK?

Develop Brighton UK is a key event in the games industry in the UK and is one of the largest and most important games exhibitions/events in Europe for game developers. Held annually in Brighton, England, it brings together a diverse community of people working in the games industry, including developers, artists, designers, producers, leaders, and anyone else serious about learning about growing their craft and the games industry. This wasn’t our first time: in 2023, we visited Develop Brighton, too.

Develop Brighton UK had a multi-day schedule of panels, talks, workshops, and networking opportunities that provided attendees with an ongoing opportunity to explore new innovations and developments in the world of games. The conference places a special emphasis on the future of games and is where developers take their current developments to illustrate what people are doing. It is also a platform for learning, exchanging, and collaboration in a community that takes the games industry seriously and artistically.

A Platform for Innovation and Learning

Develop Brighton UK is unique in its commitment to the development of innovative practices in the game-making process. The conference shows off new developments in familiar areas of game development, including artificial intelligence (AI), virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), game design, and game art production, all of which have become such an important part of new ways of creating and expecting games.

The format of the conference was diverse enough to give a variety of established studios and indie developers the chance to showcase their abilities and provide and receive feedback. Despite covering so many aspects of game development, Develop Brighton UK guaranteed that everyone left with something, whether they were just entering the field or were simply the most experienced developers out there.

Networking and Collaboration

Develop Brighton UK was not only an opportunity to learn and showcase, but it was also a collaborative event. For most developers, it’s a chance to meet and form new business relationships; practitioners had many opportunities to get to know prospective partners, collaborators, and clients. The networking element, of course, is one of the vital pieces of this conference since it accelerates the exchange of ideas for best practices, allows professionals to showcase expertise, or simply styles of collective work.

The relaxed ethos of the event, backed by beer and other refreshments and a seaside location, also allows for informal conversations, the subsequent modification of ideas, and building future collaborations. Whether you need tools for your game development company, want a UK studio to collaborate with and trust, or are looking to build a connection with a publisher or investor – Develop Brighton UK is worth attending.

Workshops and Masterclasses

In addition to the keynotes, the conference featured specialized workshops and masterclasses of hands-on learning in specific areas of game design and development, where the leaders and experts in the industry provided insight into hands-on content in an interactive setting. The workshops provided attendees with actionable knowledge to use for a variety of topics, including:

  • 3D Game Development: Best practices for creating beautiful game art and improving game mechanics.
  • Mobile Game Development: Strategies for optimizing games for smartphone and tablet delivery and expanding your potential audience.
  • VR/AR Development: Current trends in the future of immersive technologies, and how to implement these technologies within your games.
  • Game Marketing and Monetization: Tactics for growing your audience, marketing your game, and monetizing your game.

Workshops surround real, actionable knowledge that participants can use in their existing and future projects, which is beneficial for anyone working in the game development space.

One of the key components of Develop Brighton UK happened to be a discussion of industry trends. Conference discussions were based on current and future technology, and the discussions gave an insight into where the gaming industry is headed in the next decade. These are typical trends to be discussed at this year’s conference:

  • The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Game Development: The influence on the design of video games made possible by artificial intelligence, and how this has helped to discover more compelling gaming experiences.
  • The Growth of Indie Games: The changing role of indie games in the ecosystem of gaming, and the paths taken by indie studios towards success.
  • Cross-platform Development: What it takes for developers to respond to the challenges associated with developing games over a range of platforms and devices, from consoles to mobile devices.
  • Esports and Live Streaming: The nature of the increasingly important esports market developing – and how game developers would like to participate in the development of that revenue stream.

This ultimately gives an opportunity for your game development organizations to understand how organizations will need to innovate, now and in the future.

What Will game development company KevuruGames Present at Develop Brighton UK?

At Develop Brighton UK 2025, KevuruGames was happy to announce several exciting developments in the games industry. We displayed our latest endeavors in game development generally, but with an emphasis on innovative game art production and progressive game development techniques.

As the CEO of Kevuru Games, I am personally proud of the tech-savvy approach our team has taken to integrating the latest technology into our projects. At Develop Brighton, we explained how we have been utilizing intelligent-AI driven mechanics, immersive storytelling techniques, and advanced animations in order to create dynamic player experiences.

AI-Driven Mechanics

One of the things we presented at the event is our use of artificial intelligence within game design mechanics. Artificial intelligence is allowing us to create smarter gameplay experiences. During the design and development process, artificial intelligence adapts as the player does in mind-blowing ways. Imagine the player’s experience knowing the gameplay content is changing all around them automatically without the game developer doing any additional work to pre-script it. The experience is as unique as the player interacting with it.

We also showed how we animate improvements with NPC behaviors, use AI in narrative to create broader story arcs that may change with player decisions, and even compose interactive, playable game worlds using artificial intelligence. This type of technology offers new options for game devs working to create more personalized and immersive experiences for their audience.

Immersive Storytelling

One other facet of our work at KevuruGames is immersive storytelling. As we are fully aware within our studio and surround ourselves with, modern-day gamers expect not just gameplay, but an emotional and intellectual connection to the narrative that games provide, and are therefore immersed. At Develop Brighton UK, we showcased how we integrate gameplay, art, and narrative storytelling to inform gameplay, which keeps players engaged from start to finish.

Our 3D video game art connects players emotionally to stories that linger. Attendees saw how game development at KevuruGames involves collaboration among artists, writers, and designers to tell meaningful, complex stories. Our immersive environments, detailed character art, and art design are made comprehensively to support a narrative and transport the player to a world they don’t want to leave.

Advanced Animations

At KevuruGames, we were always able to expand the boundaries of what is possible with game animation. As more and more realistic movement, attractive transitions, and character behaviors enter the gaming landscape, we have focused on perfecting our game animation to produce bold and expressive movement.

We demonstrated how we use sophisticated animation tools and workflows, including character motion capture and character procedural animation, to create adult and environmental character animations that exist as if they were alive and organic. The intention here is to increase player enjoyment and experience from the movement of a character, to how they navigate their surroundings and communicate with other characters.

By utilizing the newest game animation technologies, we are able to ensure each movement feels intentional and present, to provide an ultimately immersive experience for players. We will be providing a live demo of our animation work, so participants saw a behind-the-scenes example of how we bring movement and life into the video game world.

Creative Process and Innovation

At KevuruGames, we embrace the philosophy of creativity and innovation. Collaboration is a key part of our development processes, so we assemble a diverse team of artists, developers, and designers to work on game development, allowing us to optimize the intersection between art and technology. At Develop Brighton UK, we shared how we encourage creativity in our team and successfully utilize creativity in traditional and contemporary development processes for game development.

Participants got to see how we utilize the latest tools in game design, including a 3D modeling tool suite, various game engines, and real-time rendering techniques to create our ideas.

Who Represented KevuruGames at Develop Brighton UK?

Kevuru Games was represented by senior members of our executive and creative teams, including myself and our leading art and game production specialists. We were there to explore collaboration opportunities, share what we’re seeing in the market, and give great recommendations on how to improve your own development processes. Our staff was interested in meeting other developers and studios to share knowledge and ideas.

We firmly believe that outsourcing game development in its various forms is the way to meet the needs of the rapidly changing gaming landscape and we hope that our game dev studio can help others bring their game projects to life.

Conclusions: what we learned from Develop Brighton UK

At Develop Brighton 2025, Kevuru Games presented a full slate of services spanning 3D art production, character and environment animation, and AI-assisted game mechanics — the same work that has established us as a game art studio serving the UK’s developer community. Alongside the presentations, we met with independent studios scouting outsourcing partners, publishers evaluating art pipelines for upcoming titles, and fellow exhibitors exploring game outsourcing in Brighton as a way to extend production capacity without growing an in-house team.

At Kevuru Games, our goal is always to create and deliver leading game development services, and we look forward to showcasing our unique approach to game art, 3D animation, and game design outsourcing (you can read more on the About Us page).
