GDC in San Francisco is the world’s largest gathering of game developers — spanning technical, artistic, and business disciplines. Kevuru Games participates to meet clients, explore industry trends, and showcase the studio’s capabilities.
From March 20-24, 2023, Kevuru Games attended the Game Developers Conference at the Moscone Center. We were also one of the sponsors of this event.
This year’s conference was the industry’s largest source of content and connections, with many exciting presentations, sessions, and networking events, and a focus on health and safety. GDC offers five days of expert-led training on key game development topics, as well as several special features throughout the week. Participants had the opportunity to gain insight into the future of gaming, be inspired by new methods, and discover new creative approaches.

The GDC Advisory Board is made up of seasoned game and VR/AR industry experts who volunteer each year to help develop the GDC conference program and sessions. The consultants work to ensure that GDC content is engaging, relevant, and timely.
For a game art outsourcing studio, GDC 2023’s value sat mostly in the Visual Arts and Game Narrative tracks, alongside the Production and Team Leadership sessions covering how larger studios structure external collaboration. With speakers from CD Projekt RED and Sony breaking down the visual and narrative work behind The Witcher and God of War Ragnarök, the sessions most relevant to Kevuru Games’ own work centered on exactly the disciplines the studio specializes in: art production, animation, and the pipeline decisions that make outsourcing partnerships work at scale.
Kevuru Games GDC 2023 was another step in the studio’s ongoing presence at the Game Developers Conference San Francisco, where the team connected with publishers, indie studios, and fellow developers across the show floor and the week’s sessions. As a game art outsourcing studio, GDC remains one of the most useful stops on the calendar each year (we wrote about our 2021 GDC visit on the blog), less for any single announcement and more for the steady stream of conversations that tend to turn into future collaborations.
