Kevuru Games is attending Tokyo Game Show for the first time, marking its entry into one of the industry’s largest Asian gaming events. The visit continues the studio’s push into major international conferences and new regional business development. Kevuru games exhibited at the Makuhari Messe, in Chiba, Japan, from the 26th to the 29th of September, 2024.
About the event
Tokyo Game Show has been present for 28 years, growing with every event. Organized by the Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association (CESA) and Nikkei Business Publications and is one of the biggest gaming industry events not just in Asia, but worldwide. Held twice a year, in Spring and Autumn, the total number of shows held over the decades is over 50. This edition hosted a record number of 3,190 exhibition booths. 731 exhibitors participated in the show, 283 of them from foreign countries. Over 250,000 people visited.
This year’s show hosted events by industry giants such as Aniplex, Koei Tecmo games, and Gamirror games. A key highlight of the program was a discussion on Death Stranding 2: On The Beach with Hideo Kojima, hosted by Sony Interactive Entertainment. Another exciting event was the Sense of Wonder Night (SOWN), showcasing innovative and experimental games from indie developers worldwide. Special Sponsors of the Tokyo Game Show are Monster Energy, YouTube, and Cybozu.
At our booth, we showcased Kevuru Games’ expertise in full-cycle game development, game art outsourcing, engineering, animation, UI/UX design, and co-development services. Throughout the event, our team held meetings with studios ranging from indie developers to established publishers, discussing opportunities for long-term game development partnerships in Japan and the broader Asian market.
Asia remains one of the world’s most important gaming markets, and we hope to attend more events in the region in the future. As demand for high-quality game art outsourcing in Asia and experienced development partners continues to grow, building long-term relationships with regional studios and publishers remains one of our key priorities.
