International Artist Day is celebrated on the 25th of October, the day when Pablo Picasso was born. Nowadays, it is celebrated not only those who work with oil on canvas. Since the time of Picasso, the “artist” profession has grown to an extent that was unimaginable decades ago, including digital artists, 3D artists, virtual production artists, and many more. Many of these new professions live in the world of game art.
The artist day could not pass unnoticed in our company. So we decided to highlight it with a contest among our wonderful artists, who thus got another opportunity to show their creative nature and original approach to different sophisticated tasks.
The nominations for Best Design and Best Drawing have finally found their winners. We could not deprive you of the pleasure of enjoying the stunning art works on the topics “The Fifth Horseman of the Apocalypse” and “The Mystical Kevuru Deer”.
We congratulate our winners and leave them to get their laurels in anxious anticipation of prizes. And here are the categories.
Best Design
For Best Design category, we were looking at images that tell the story and feel like a scene from a game. The winner is The Fifth Horseman of the Apocalypse. Looks like an indie horror game that our team would enjoy playing!
Best Drawing
In Best Drawing category, the winner is The Mystical Kevuru Deer. If you look closer you will recognize our mascot – deer, reimagined as a character of fantasy world.
